Indigo at the Fuling SWI in September

Indigo is on the right looking a bit apprehensive about (or annoyed by) the camera. This photo was taken by a parent visiting the SWI in September. There is a wonderful group of parents that are supportive of this SWI and have a great number of programs to help these children. Check out www.fulingkids.org for more information. On that subject there is another wonderful organization the endeavors to help children at many many more of these orphanages, Half the Sky (www.halfthesky.org).

This a photo taken in September by another parent that was lucky enough to visit the Fuling Social Welfare Institute in the municipality of Chongqing. Indigo is at center bottom of the photo. You can't see her face but she and the little girl to her right are in the photo above this one.

Here's The Scoop on Travel

We just received confirmation that we would be leaving for China on January 10th! Returning on the 24th! What a wondeful Christmas gift, eh

Verrrry Exciting! Verrry Scary!

We had been waiting for this for so long that we convinced ourselves that we would be departing later in the month. We both have so much to do for our jobs that I know I'm feeling a little overwhelmed at the moment.

Before the onset of hysteria, we both have commited to enjoying the Christmas holiday with Quinn before succumbing to the panic next week

A mere 4 days 'til Christmas....A mere 20 days until we leave....23 days until we have Indigo!
